On Saturday March 6, TVR 1 will present the National Selection Eurovision 2010, a live show that will chose the song that will represent Romania at Eurovision this year in Oslo.

Yesterday in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova, the first semi final of Moldovan Eurovision selection called "O Melodie Pentru Europa" (A song for Europe) was held. Sevn songs qualified for the final on March 6th.

After finishing last in the second semi-final last year and failing to qualify for the final Latvia will be hoping that Aisha will do much better this year after she won the Eirodziesma 2010

This evening in Lithuania, the big event on television was the third semi-final. Twelve songs competed to be one of the three to qualify from the final. 

After a comprehensive song selection process for 2010, STV finally picks who will sing in Oslo. Would one of last year’s performers make it 2nd time lucky, and would it be ‘popera’, ethnic, rock or ballad flying the Slovak flag? It ended in a tied first position.

The fourth heat in Sweden just ended. After the performance of the remaining 8 songs in the selection the last two direct qualified positions for the final in Globen were filled. As two more acts went to the second chance round the line-up for the next heat is known.

Tonight, Georgia chose the song that will resume their participation in the contest after last year’s enforced absence.  Sopho Nizharadze sang all the songs and the song chosen for her to take to Oslo is called Shine. 

After a few weeks of speculation in Belgrade, the candidates who will participate in the Serbian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, in Oslo have been revealed.

Thea Saliba represented Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 with the song 'Make It Right'. Thea is now now an established and popular singer in Malta and has now launched a brand new pop video of the song, 'Musilicious' (remix).

Mr. Grand Prix Keld Heick has released a solo album with cover versions of rather unknown Rock’n’roll songs from the 1950’s and ‘60’s. For his fans this is very different from the schlager style they are use to, but for Keld it is going back to his roots where he started 50 years ago.

Despite several jokes and nasty comments about the national selection Sieneke’s Sha-la-lie – Ik Ben Verliefd is now at the top of the Dutch single chart. The Dutch entry for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest has turned out to be a love it or hate it song. The Danish entry for the 2009 Contest is still on the chart in the Netherlands - in a Dutch version.

The next stage of the Unser Star für Oslo to decide the German performer at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 took part tonight. Eight acts competed and 2 performers left the competition.

Sirusho, who sang 'Qele Qele' for Armenia in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest, said the Eurovision Song Contest was an important music show case for her.

Eurosong newcomer, Thea Garrett, will represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest in May with the song, 'My Dream'.  Thea told EuroVisionary that she did not expect to win the contest.  Infact, she thought popular Maltese performer, Lawrence Gray, would win. 

Turkish national broadcaster TRT has announced that the last version of the song which will be represent Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest with the group MaNga in Oslo, will be announced on 3rd of March on the TRT channel.

The music from the recently held Danish final has now massively conquered the top of the charts. The album will once again prove to be one of the best selling albums of the year, five of the participating songs are doing well as singles and two of them even as a ringtone.

Just a few minutes ago Destino Oslo, the Spanish final for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest ended. 10 acts competed for the honour of representing Spain at the international contest in Oslo in May and despite a larger scandal in tonight's show they ended up with a clear fairytale on stage.
