Niall Mooney and Jonas Gladnikoff won the Irish national final, Eurosong, for the second year in a row last night. We caught up with Niall at after the show to get his feelings on this year's entry and what they've learnt from last year.
Ireland hasn't reached the final of the Eurovision Song Contest the past two years. Tonight they decided that it will be up to Niamh Kavanagh to try to do the double after winning the contest for Ireland back in 1993. This time her song is called It's For You and is written by the team who also wrote last year's Irish entry.

The quarter final of the German selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, Unser Star für Oslo, was held tonight. The previous rounds were shown on the Pro Sieben channel. Tonight's show and the final on 12 March 2010 will be shown on Das Erste channel. The semi final will be broadcast on Pro Sieben on 9 March 2010.

Tonight the first semi-final of Festival da Cançã, the Portugese national selection was held. A total of 12 participants competed for six spots in the final on Saturday. Thursday yet another six participants will pass making a line-up of 12 in total with a chance to represent Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest.

The second semi final of Moldova Eurovision National final called "A song for Europe" has just ended. 15 songs competed in order to reach the final on Saturday. Seven of them went through along with the other seven songs that were selected last night in the first semifinal.
Miroslav Kostadinov with the simple artist name Miro will represent Bulgaria at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest. That was decided already back in October. Tonight the TV viewers picked the song he will be singing in Oslo trying to bring the country back to the final they failed to reach last year.
Yesterday in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova, the first semi final of Moldovan Eurovision selection called "O Melodie Pentru Europa" (A song for Europe) was held. Sevn songs qualified for the final on March 6th.
