United Kingdom Wins OGAE Song Contest 2009

OGAE United Kingdom won the OGAE Song Contest 2009, which was held by last year's winner OGAE Croatia, with the song Viva la Vida by Coldplay with 241 points. Greece came second with 211 points and Italy placed 3rd with 152 points in the contest. 



The Organisation Générale des Amateurs de l'Eurovision, OGAE, which is the most famous fan club of the Eurovision Song Contest, held its annual contest, the OGAE Song Contest, with OGAE Croatia hosting.

OGAE United Kingdom won the contest above 29 other country's OGAE clubs. The winning song, Viva la Vida by the group Coldplay, managed to take 248 points from OGAE voters. Ston Egokero by Mando - representing OGAE Greece - came second with 211 points, and Non ti Scordar Mai Di Me by Guissy Ferreri - representing OGAE Italy - came third with 152 points. Other OGAE contestants included Jelena Tomasevic, Shiri Maimon, Rebeka Dremelj, Edita Gorniak.
