The Shin & Mariko premiere their Eurovision entry, Three Minutes To Earth

Today the Georgian entry for the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest has been presented. Three Minutes To Earth is one of these songs which add variety to the contest and it can be described as a folk song with a modern sound far from traditional.

Mariko Ebralidze and The Shin were internally selected in early February to represent Georgia at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. Today, with the release of the official video clip, we have been able to listen to for the very first time their Eurovision entry which is called Three Minutes To Earth.

According to the interview they gave to eurovision.tv, the members of the band explained that their song is about "the last three minutes of a long walk back to Earth, back home". They have tried to capture in this song the "feelings and thoughts you have when you return, and it also tries to answer the question how the earth sounds at the moment".

The song, which was recorded last month in Stuttgart (Germany), has been composed by one of the members of the band The Shin, Zaza Miminoshvili and written by Eugen Eliu.

Below you can watch the very artistic video of Three Minutes To Earth which was filmed at Natakhtari Airfield in Georgia under the direction of Basa Potskhishvili. The outfits were designed by Avtandil Tskvitinidze and Datuna Sulikashvili.
