Poland send Magdalena Tul to Germany!

Magdalena Tul will represent Poland at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Jestem.  Tonight’s show, Krajowe Eliminacje, was broadcast by TVP on Valentines Day.

Here are the songs and performers –

1. Magdalena Tul Jestem – An upbeat dance song. Magdalena is dressed short silver and black dress and black boots and is with 2 male dancers.  The song is performed in Polish.

2.  SheMoans Supergirl – 5 piece girl band.  The girls are dressed in futuristic multi-coloured pvc clothes.  This is a rock dance song.

3. Ajda Fijal Hot Like Fire – A swing/rock ‘n’ roll song.  Ajda is dressed in a white with red spots 1950s type dress.  This is quite dated.

4. Alizma Bow To The Bow – 3 blonde girls with violins. They are dressed in short light blue dresses.  This has a funky rhythm with some male rapping.

5. IKA Say – A rock song by a 4 member band with a female lead vocalist.  Standard rock song that seemed a little forgettable.

6.  Roan Maybe – Another rock song. Again this seemed a little dated but the band gave a good performance.

7. Anna Gogola Ktos Taki Kak Ty – Anna was dressed in short black leather skirt.  This electro/rock dance song was very well performed.  Anna sings in Polish here.

8. The Trash Things Go Better With Rock – More rock from this all male band.  This has an AC/DC rock sound. Lots of screams from the audience.

9. ZoSia Scream Out Louder – This has an 80s soul/dance sound.  ZoSia is playing keyboards with 2 male backing vocalists.  The crowd liked this song.

10.  Formula RC Ja, Ty i Ty i Ja – A melodic light rock sound with a saxaphone intro. The band has 5 male members.

The show had a romantic theme through the show with many references to Valentines Day.  A cuddly heart shape with sunglasses introduced some Polish guests through the show.

The interval was made up of performances by Renton, Patrycja Markowska, Blenders, Stachursky, Julek Nyk and Chemia
