In memory of Brita Borg (1926 – 2010)

Former Eurovision participant Brita Borg (Sweden 1959, Augustin) passed away on the 4th of May at the age of 83.

Brita had a long career with acting and singing. She became a famous star in swedish show business in the 50’s and 60’s. In 1959 she competed in the Eurovision song contest for Sweden and came 9th with the song "Augustin". 1969 she had a hit with the song "Ljuva sextital" written by Stikkan Anderson, Benny Andersson, Björn Ulveaus (who later would have a breakthrough with ABBA).
In the 70’s she moved on to doing musicals and ligth operas.

Her son Allan says: "She lived for making entertainment for others, that was her mission and her passion".
