Le Freak releases debut album

The first album from disco band Le freak that came third in the 2011 Dansk Melodi Grand Prix has hit the stores. The album contains new songs as well as cover versions and of course the song 25 Hours A Day, their attempt to reach this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

Despite having existed for 16 years this is Le Freak’s first album release. Until now they have been a live band performing at festivals, as warm up band and at after parties.
The album with 11 songs contains cover versions of songs from Rolling Stones, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Temptations and Kiss, but of course also some of their own material and their 2011 Dansk Melodi Grand Prix entry 25 Hours A Day. That song is written by Thomas G:son, Henrik Sethsson and Erik Bernholm, who wrote last year’s Danish entry for the Eurovision Song Contest; In A Moment Like This performed by Chanée & N’evergreen.

Le Freak came third in the Danish final not managing to beat the winner A Friend In London who they were up against in their super-semi-final.
