First semifinal Skopje Fest 2010 - FYR Macedonia's selection

FYR Macedonia had their first national semifinal on 18th February in their capital city Skopje. Out of 14 participants, eight passed to the final and are still in the running to represenet the country at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contet in Oslo in may.

This night Skopje Fest 2010, organized by MKRTV opened with the first out of two semi-finals. This semifinal contained 14 songs, while 8 will go on to the final, which will be on 20th February 2010.

Each year, the Eurovision Song Contest gets more popular in the former Yugoslav republic of Macedonia, and with that the competition gets stronger. This year the songs were selected by combing 50% jury and 50% televoting.

The eight participants who passed to the final, by top place are:

1. Vlatko Ilievski - Sreka (22 points)
2. Suzana Spasovska & Darko Nesovski - Bog go ima sekoj kljuc (18 points)
3. Aleksandar Belov - Ostani (15 points)
4. Gjoko Taneski - Jas imam silata (15 points)
5. Bravo Band - Taa ima se (12 points)
6. Darko Ilievski - Lagi (8 points)
7. Treta Dimenzija - Bolest zaraza (7 points)
8. Tumbao Salsa Band - Poludena vo nokta studena (6 points)

10 points - Vlatko Ilievski
8 points - Gjoko Taneski
7 points - Aleksandar Belov
6 points - Tumbao salsa Band
5 points - Darko Ilievski
3 points - Treta Dimenzija

The audience voted by televoting andtheir points were as follows:

8 points - Aleksandar Belov
7 points - Gjoko Taneski
6 points - Suzana Spasovska & Darko Nesovski
4 points - Treta Dimenzija
3 points - Darko Ilievski

Tumbao Salasa Band was left without points from the audience, but still got through because of the jury vote.
