As we exclusively announced the Turkish representative on EuroVisionary, the official announcement came out from the broadcaster and then the words spread all over the media which resulted with the criticisms towards TRT that have continued for weeks. After a critical decision of Turkish broadcaster about selecting a not well known name to represent his country at the Eurovision Song Contest, the dust storm has nearly ended in the Turkish media. As in the agreement, Can Bonomo has composed three songs and they have now been submitted to the special committee in TRT. The next step is for this committee to internally decide to the best song to represent Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest in Baku this year.
The song will be presented to the media with a lansman, as it was in previous two years. The lansman party is revealed by the broadcaster to be held either on February, 17th or on February, 24th. It is also noted that February 24th is more a realistic date for the presentation. In the first half of the presentation, Team Bonomo and general director of TRT, Mr. İbrahim Şahin will hold a press conference and in the second half, the song will be presented to public. The full show will be broadcast live by TRT Müzik and the song will also be able to be seen on TRT 1. According to Can, the ethnic sounds are very used in the entries and some of them are quite up-tempo. The studio work will continue for a while to make the final version of the chosen song after presentation to public.
In the meantime, Can has announced via his official website that he will be one of the guests at the final show of Azerbaijan's selections. Most of the fans, no matter in Turkey or around Europe, will be able to hear Can's live performance for the first time. Therefore, he will be singing several of his songs at the stage. The final of Milli Seçim Turu will be broadcast live by the host corporation İçtimai TV and TRT Müzik via web and satellite.
