Bosnia and Herzegovina to return to Eurovision in 2014

There was some good news for Eurovision fans today as the local broadcaster, BHRT, in Bosnia and Herzegovina announced their return to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014. They withdrew from the contest in 2013 due to financial reasons.

In 2013 Bosnia and Herzegovina did not participate in the Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden. This was mainly due to financial problems. Although that particular situation has not improved the Management Board of BHRT believes the broadcaster should find a solution to meet the interests of viewers and listeners.

BHRT has decided that the project for the Bosnia and Herzegovina Eurosong in 2014 has the status of a ‘ special multimedia project ‘ which can be organised by self-financing . BHRT will seek sponsors to help fund the 2014 Eurovision project.

Bosnia and Herzegovina first participated in Eurovision in 1993 where Fazla performed Sva bol svijeta. Their highest placing to date was in 2006 when Hari Mata Hari took Lejla to third place.
