Eurovision 2015: Moldova’s 2nd rehearsal

Moldova will be performing 1st in the upcoming First Semi Final this Tuesday. The country is represented by Eduard Romanyuta with the song I Want Your Love. Are there any changes since the country’s first rehearsal? What is the impression left by the song amongst the other entries in the running order? We try to answer your questions reporting live from inside the hall of Wiener Stadthalle.

Eduard looks happier and more relaxed this morning compared to Moldova’s first rehearsal on Monday. There are initially two runs during the rehearsal as well as checking technical details such as the sound balance in between. During the first run, the female dancer manages to only partially rip Eduard’s top off and, subsequently, the top stays on for the second run, the female dancer only pulling the singer’s shirt gently. There is an unexpected third run that starts being shown on the press centre monitors half way through – the shirt is ripped again so one might assume that the Moldovan delegation are running out of shirts (thus the omission during the 2nd run). Eduard looks like a sixteen year old and a bit scruffy, still wearing his leather cap. The stage floor appears to crack as he lands after his somersault.

This will be an energetic start to the first semi final but not quite representative of what will be following later on in the show. Moldova looks like the sort of entry that will be more popular with certain demographic groups amongst the tele-voters rather than the jury members.

Moldova has managed to qualify to the Grand Final seven out of the nine times the country has been through the semi finals.
