Finishing third at the Eurovision Song Contest rarely needs an apology and it is probably not that Eric Saade has on his mind today where he is releasing his fifth solo album. A few weeks ago the video for the title song was released and today follows the entire album titled Forgive Me.
During a few weeks in March and April 2012 Eric Saade headed out on a nationwide tour in Sweden called Pop Expolosion. The last stop on the tour, Stockholm was filmed for SVT and aired on Swedish TV earlier this autumn. Today, this concert is released on a DVD, which also contains a lot of extra material.
Stockholm may have lost out to Malmö in the fight to host next years contest, but that isn't stopping the city from getting into the Eurovision party mood with a jam packed line up for the annual Stockholm Pride event.
A steaming hot video to the song Imagine has just been released. The song is a duet between Swedish Eric Saade and Norwegian Tone Damli. The video is so hot that rumours about them sharing more than just their musicality has been floading in both countries. The couple denies it all though.
Poor Eric Saade. He came so enticingly close to representing Sweden last year with Manboy. The subsuquent release of his album Masquerade proved something of a fata morgana for his career, as the next single to be lifted off the album did nothing at all, hardly bothering the lower reaches of the charts.
With Popular still flying high on the Swedish charts following Eric Saade's 3rd placing in Düsseldorf, the talented young artist continues with his plan for total pop domination and releases a new single.
It can’t be easy to be Eric Saade today. Since Sweden didn't even qualify for the final last year there is now a lot of pressure on Eric Saade to turn Sweden’s luck around. Will this 20 year old boy be able to handle the pressure? Or will this be one more of Sweden’s failures?
