After month and month of preparations tonight it was finally time for Sweden to select two more artists for the Swedish final. This was one of the most exciting semi finals for years where no one could have foreseen the result.
After tonight's dress rehearsal EuroVisionary were able to have a chat with heavy metal singer Joacim Cans and Swedish House Wives about the dress rehearsal and what their expectations are for tomorrow.
Many debutants and also some experienced names can be found in heat 1 and 2 of Melodifestivalen 2013 that was announced by SVT today. Maybe not the strongest field we've eveer seen but still not that weak either. And even without the really big names, is it still possible to find a winner in any of the first two heats?
For many Eurovision fans the Swedish selection stands as something magical. The participating names are awaited with even more eager than a 5 year old looking forward to his Christmas presents. Few minutes ago the first half of these names were announced revealing several interesting names.
Big names like Anabel Conde, Pernilla Wahlgren and Jenny Silver were guests at OGAE Swedens annual convention held on Saurday the 1st of October in Stockholm. EuroVisionary show you videos from the meeting that was yet another successful arrangement by the club, in Sweden called Melodifestivalklubben.
Today Swedish broadcaster SVT revealed the names of the composers and the artists of four of the songs competing in Melodifestivalen 2011. Among the artists and composers you will find well known names as Linda Bengtzing, Tomas G:son and Alexander Bard and also debutants such as Pernilla Andersson.
Now the Melodifestivalen journey is coming to an end. Tomorrow 10 acts will battle for the spot as the Swedish representative in Oslo. EuroVisionary attended the dress rehearsal on Friday night to try to find out what’s new with the acts and take the pulse on the artists.
The swedish selection Melodifestivalen continued with the second chance heat that took place in the town of Örebro, about 200 km west of Stockholm. 2 out of 8 songs were selected by swedish televote to take the remaining two places in the final in Globen next Saturday.
We now know the result of the four semi finals, and boy was I wrong in my predictions. I made the huge mistake of thinking that the viewer’s would vote exactly like they did last year. Then they voted all the big stars through to the final. But this year something has happened. The big question is what?!
