Last Saturday, Estonia selected five lucky songs for the final of Eesti Laul 2012 on 3 March. This Saturday they do the same again to compete the 10 song line up for the final. Let's find out more about the remaining songs...
On the 18th of February Estonia kicks off its selection for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest. The line-up for two semi-finals have now been published - and a familiar name, Malcolm Lincoln, is back for another attempt. On the 3rd of March we will know the Estonian entry.
Noone can accuse Malcolm Lincoln of taking the easy road when it comes to musical style. Siren was without doubt one of the most original entries participating in this years contest. The fact that Siren wasn't your immediate bubble gum pop didn't exactly make the entry a fan favourite.
After months of preparation and two weeks of rehearsals, tonight things got serious. The first semi-final was beamed live around Europe. Viewers around Europe were welcomed by hosts, Nadia Hasnaoui, Erik Solbakken and Haddy Jatou N'Jie, who explained the voting system.
EuroVisionary has boarded a time-machine, travelled to the end of the 1st semi-final, and can now reveal who will be happy at the end of tomorrows show, and who will be considering going home early.
Thursday saw the beginning of the second round of rehearsals and press conferences. The first eleven countries competing in the first semi-final took to the stage for their last solo rehearsal. The next time will be the run through of the semi-final itself.
