Labas vakaras,Lietuva! All eyes were on Vilnius tonight, as Lithuania joined the ranks of the select number of countries to choose its entry for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest before the New Year. LRT are hoping it's a case of third time lucky, with their choice for Malmö next May.
Lithuania managed to get into the final for a second consecutive year and so LRT are eager to find the successor to Danny Montell who dazzled with a brilliant stage show in Baku with Love Is Blind. With the national final mere days away, Eurovisionary takes a closer look at those who've secured a place in the final line up.
The first heat took place this Saturday with a two hour show that was broadcast by LRT. It was a pre-recorded presentation show where seventeen acts were introduced to the audience, however the songs they performed were not their own songs but well known hits. There was no voting.

Today EuroVisionary caught up with this year's Lithuanian representative, Donny Montell. He talked to us about how proud he is to represent his country, the big responsibility that he is feeling, his musical influences and his future plans. He also revealed to us what is his dream.
Donny Montell gave a confident performance of Love Is Blind at Lithuania's second rehearsal here in Baku. His vocals were very strong for this song of two halves (first ballad and then upbeat).
Love is blind sings Donny Montell during his rehearsal, showing that he believes in the fairytale of his melodic love ballad. We would however recommend you not to listen to Donny's words but to listen to this belter of a performance.
Love Is Blind is the Lithuanian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in Baku. It will be sung by Donny Montell, who gave this performance in Amsterdam a month before the contest.
Donny Montell will be representing Lithuania at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Love is Blind. Last year Lithuania qualified to the final where they finished 19th.
