With many countries having announced that they wouldn't be able to participate at next year's Eurovision Song Contest today came the list many have been waiting for: The total list of participating countries. Now it was revealed exactly who is in and who is out.
Today it was announced by the Swedish broadcaster SVT that the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 will be held in Malmö. It is the second time after 1992 that Malmö will be staging the Eurovision Song Contest. Just until the end it was a close race between Malmö and Stockholm.
The EBU has announced that a total of 43 countries will participate in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Baku the next 22, 24 and 26 of May. It confirms the participation of Armenia, the return of Montenegro after three years of absence and the withdrawal of Poland.
The European Broadcasting Union have announced that Jon Ola Sand will be the new Executive Producer of the Eurovision Song Contest. He succeeds Svante Stockselius whose last major work was at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Minsk, Belarus last week.
