Rumours are not unusual in Turkey since the national broadcaster, TRT, made the decision to select internally their representative at the Eurovision Song Contest. Last week, rumours circulated in the media, speculating many names. At last, has TRT given a declaration on their way to Baku announcing the names with whom they are still in contact.
Today, another rumour has been launched by some international websites around Europe and also in Turkey: Kıraç will be representing Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012. TRT denies the story that an official offer has been made to Kıraç. TRT will be announcing the Turkish representative on either New Years Eve or January 15th, 2012
As leaked to the public last week, Turkish broadcaster, TRT's poll resulted in around five popular names, including Şebnem Ferah, Atiye, Hande Yener, Murat Boz and Duman; these nominees have reacted after the results with their hopes and disappointments. In the meantime, we will know the Turkish representative on New Year’s Eve.
Turkey, via its broadcaster TRT, is one of the participating countries who pick the Eurovision Song Contest representative by an internal selection. The fan poll, which was held by the corporation to get to know public opinion has resulted in five names being suggested; Atiye, Murat Boz, Şebnem Ferah, Duman or Hande Yener.
Rumours points at Atiye Deniz to represent Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest next year. In that case she would be picked internally by the Turkish broadcaster, TRT. First she will be trying to win the award as best Turkish act over Hadise and Mor ve Ötesi.
As previously announced on EuroVisionary, Turkish national broadcaster, TRT, had returned to the old system which brought success to Turkey. It's announced that their representative's name will be revealed in January 2011.
