Rachel Traets has won the ticket to represent the Netherlands at the 2011 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Yerevan, Armenia on 3 December.  Rachel came first out of 5 acts in the national final with the song, Ik Ben Een Teenager (I am a Teenager).

Femke will represent Belgium at the 2011 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Yerevan with the song, Een Kusje Meer (One More Kiss).  Following a long series of elimination shows the final was decided with 4 acts competing for the place in Armenia in December this year.

Lidiya Zablotskaya will represent Belarus at the 2011 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Armenia with the song Angely Dobra (Angels of Goodness).  Lidiya was announced as the winner from the Belarus national selection where 10 junior performers battled to represent their country.

If anyone was in doubt about Tim Schou's performance skills they have to be convinced after last night. In a live TV show him and his 13 year old duet partner gave the viewers a wonderful mix of New Tomorrow in a piano version and A Friend In London's second single Calling A Friend in a house version. 

The final show of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf is nominated for the German TV award 2011. Already after the final there was a lot of praise for the well-organized TV show. The Eurovision final will compete for the award in the category "Best entertainment".

Felix Smith, one of DR's most popular hosts has decided to change jobs. He has been hosting the Danish national final for the past three years and previously said that he will continue with this up until he got to host the Eurovision Song Contest, but with the announcement today that is unlikely to happen.   

A Friend In London had a busy summer after coming fifth at the Eurovision Song Contest in May. Now they are returning to the Düsseldorf area for a performance Saturday, but Friday evening and Sunday afternoon they are busy with other things in Denmark - which among others include the premiere of the video written for - and about - their online friends.

Whether you were a fan of Queen or not, there's no denying that front figure Freddie Mercury was an amazing showman who left behind an enormous legacy after his death. His flamboyant character and talent has inspired many tribute acts, and former Icelandic Eurovision entrants now join the ranks of those wishing to honour the star.

Mike Spiteri represented Malta at the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest with Keep Me In My Mind.  The song finished in 10th position.  Now Mike has won the 2011 Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza in Malta with the song, B'Rieda Ta' L-Azzar (Faith Of Steel).

This weekend the national selection to choose the Lithuanian representative at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place. Despite not winning the televoting, which was won by Milita Daikerytė, Paulina was the favorite of the jury and she won the final with the song called Debesys.
