Anna Book is out – disqualification hits Melodifestivalen 2016

Minutes ago, Swedish broadcaster SVT, had to disqualify one of the songs participating in Saturday’s first heat of Melodifestivalen. Anna Book’s “Himmel För Två” was pulled out as the song two years ago, took part in the national selection in Moldova.

Today rehearsals for Saturday’s first heat of the Swedish selection, Melodifestivalen started. Everything went as smooth, small video clips of all songs were uploaded, but suddenly, things got a bit fussy. It was established that one of the songs competing took part in the national selection in Moldova in 2014. The song has been available on the Moldovian broadcaster’s website, and is available on YouTube.

In the selection in Moldova the song was performed by Felicia Dunaf, it had the title Taking Care Of A Broken Heart, which should also be the English version of Anna Book’s Himmel För Två, which was set to participate in the first heat of Melodifestivalen 2016. The only difference between Felicia Dunaf’s Taking Care Of A Broken Heart, and Anna Book’s Himmel För Två should be the language, one in English and the other one in Swedish.

To listen to Felicia Dunaf’s Taking Care Of A Broken Heart, watch the video below:

The first of our four regular preliminary heats in Sweden will taken place on this Saturday the 6th of February – without Anna Book.
